What kind of company is Kaplan Thaler Group?
The Kaplan Thaler Group is an advertising agency founded by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval in 1997. Linda Kaplan is a renowned advertising executive and author, known for creating and composing famous jingles like "I Don't Wanna Grow Up, I'm a Toys 'R Us Kid." Robin Koval , on the other hand, is a branding expert and a former co-founder and CEO of Publicis Kaplan Thaler.
The agency received many accolades, including being named one of the fastest-growing advertising agencies in the United States despite being an independent, woman-owned business. The Kaplan Thaler Group has created iconic campaigns for brands like Aflac, Clairol Herbal Essences, Cheerios, Wendy's, and Kodak moments, to name a few. Their "Aflac duck" campaign became an instant hit and became a cultural phenomenon in the US.
In 2012, the Kaplan Thaler Group merged with Publicis New York to become Publicis Kaplan Thaler. This massive collaboration had enabled the agency to work with high-profile clients such as Procter & Gamble, Citibank, and L'Oreal, among others.
In 2016, Linda Kaplan Thaler announced her departure from the Publicis Groupe to go solo, amidst a challenging market environment for advertising agencies. Nevertheless, the Kaplan Thaler Group remains an iconic brand and a significant contributor to the world of advertising and branding. Today, the agency operates as an independent entity and continues to create campaigns that resonate with consumers worldwide.
