At the beginning of the movie, Sunny is shown as a filly living with her father, Argyle Starshine, in Maretime Bay. She is somewhat of an outcast; while her father tells her stories of when all pony kinds lived in harmony, the other children play games depicting Unicorn and Pegasi as evil.

Sunny mark is one large pink star with a blue trail and two smaller pink stars.

Both powers are not permanent, and seem to only be called on when Sunny needs them. They are not a permanent part of Sunny's body. Yet. Which explains why Sunny is an Earth Pony again in both the Tell Your Tale YouTube series AND Make Your Mark Netflix Special.

Argyle Starshine was a male Earth pony in the fifth generation of My Little Pony and the late father of Sunny Starscout. His cause of death remains unknown. Not much is known about Argyle's Family other than he had ancestry going back ten generations to a time when friendship and harmony were maintained in Equestria.

Scootaloo is one of the main characters in My Little Pony in Madagascar. She is founders of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, along with her best friends, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom. She also sees Rainbow Dash as her big sister (and Dash thinks of Scootaloo as the younger sister she never had in return.
