Triamcinolone Nasal Spray. Nasacort® is a brand of triamcinolone. It treats allergy symptoms like sneezing and a runny nose. It works by decreasing inflammation in your nose to help you breathe easier.

1. an adult should supervise use.
2. once daily, spray 1 time into each nostril while sniffing gently.
3. if allergy symptoms do not improve, increase to 2 sprays in each nostril per day. Once allergy symptoms improve, reduce to 1 spray in each nostril per day.

Dosing information Nasal aerosol: 2 actuations in each nostril once a day; may increase after 4 to 7 days up to 4 actuations in each nostril once a day, or 2 actuations in each nostril twice daily, or 1 actuation in each nostril 4 times a day.

Adults and Children 12 years of age and older If needed, the dose may be increased to 440 mcg per day (55 mcg/spray) either as once-a-day dosage or divided up to four times a day, i.e., twice a day (two sprays/nostril), or four times a day (one spray/nostril).

You should only spray Nasacort (triamcinolone acetonide) into your nostrils one time each day. The medication should help relieve your allergy symptoms for up to 24 hours. Spraying Nasacort (triamcinolone acetonide) more than once a day can put you at higher risk for side effects such as sore throat and nosebleeds.

Serious side effects of Nasacort

• Body aches or pain.

• diarrhea.
• dryness or soreness of the throat.
• fever.
• general feeling of discomfort or illness.
• headache.

Using Nasacort (triamcinolone acetonide) for several months or longer can also raise your risk of getting a fungal infection in the nose or throat. Let your provider know if you notice pain or soreness in the nose or throat while you're using Nasacort (triamcinolone acetonide).

Common side effects of Nasacort AQ include: Sore throat, headache, and nosebleeds. If you have an increase in nosebleeds after using Nasacort AQ or the inside of your nose hurts, contact your healthcare provider.

Stop using Nasacort Allergy 24HR and call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days. Do not share the nasal spray with another person, or you could spread germs or disease. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
