Neulasta is a long lasting medication so blood levels slowly decrease over approximately 2 weeks.

Neulasta is a man-made form of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), which is made using the bacteria Escherichia coli. G-CSF is a substance produced by the body. It stimulates the growth of neutrophils (nu-tro-fils), a type of white blood cell important in the body's fight against infection.

Keep this medicine in its original container until you are ready to use it. You may store it at room temperature for up to 5 days, and if not used can be returned to the refrigerator. Throw away any unused medicine that has been left at room temperature for more than 5 days.
