Neulasta® is a prescription medicine used to help reduce the chance of infection due to a low white blood cell count, in people with certain types of cancer (non-myeloid), who receive anti-cancer medicines (chemotherapy) that can cause fever and low white blood cell count.

Neulasta® Onpro® helps protect you from febrile neutropenia For more than 15 years, Neulasta® has been used to help reduce the risk of infection resulting from strong chemotherapy. Today, most patients use Neulasta® Onpro® to receive their Neulasta® dose at home instead of having to go back to the doctor's office.*

The Neulasta patch, called Neulasta Onpro, is applied by a healthcare professional right after your chemotherapy infusion. The patch automatically delivers the dose of Neulasta over 45 minutes, approximately 27 hours after the patch is applied. Once the dose is complete, you remove the patch.

Your spleen may become enlarged and can rupture while taking Neulasta®. A ruptured spleen can cause death. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have pain in the left upper stomach area or left shoulder tip area. A serious lung problem called Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

Neulasta® Onpro™ kit: Leave the medicine in the carton until you are ready to use it. You may let the medicine warm up to room temperature before you use it. Keep it away from heat or direct light. The medicine can stay out of the refrigerator for up to 12 hours.

It stimulates the growth of neutrophils (nu-tro-fils), a type of white blood cell important in the body's fight against infection.

Keep this medicine in its original container until you are ready to use it. You may store it at room temperature for up to 5 days, and if not used can be returned to the refrigerator. Throw away any unused medicine that has been left at room temperature for more than 5 days.
