The PGA Show is a trade-only event for qualified golf industry professionals ONLY. Attendance at the PGA Show is RESTRICTED to PGA Professionals and affiliates of the golf industry (buyers & sellers of golf related products and services).

The name "LIV" refers to the Roman numerals for 54, the score if every hole on a par-72 course were birdied and the number of holes to be played at LIV events. The first LIV Golf Invitational Series event started on 9 June 2022, at the Centurion Club near St Albans in Hertfordshire, UK.

Overview The PGA TOUR is the world's premier membership organization for touring professional golfers, co-sanctioning tournaments on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and PGA TOUR Canada.

Beginning Dec. 2, 2022, PGA, LPGA and International PGA Professionals can continue to register at no charge, while other industry personnel will incur a $75 event registration processing fee through Jan. 23, 2023, and a $195 fee onsite at the PGA Show through Jan. 27, 2023.

Like most public places, shirts, shoes and pants will be required to enter the PGA Championship. Generally speaking, spectators wear modest and sensible attire.

PGA Tour supporters and other critics of LIV said the venture was simply an attempt by the Saudi government to distract attention from its human rights record, while LIV supporters said the PGA Tour was a monopoly that used inappropriate strong-arm tactics to protect its position in big-time sports.

One of the biggest differences between LIV and PGA Tour is the length of the course and the shotgun starts from every hole at the same time (unlike the PGA Tour starting all players at tees #1 or #10). While the PGA Tour has always covered 72 holes over four rounds, LIV events last just 54 holes in three days.
