One of the biggest differences between a Surface Laptop vs. Surface Pro is the design. Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Laptop Go 2 are designed like traditional laptops that have built-in clamshells. Surface Pro 9 is a 2-in-1, so it can be used with a without a detachable keyboard.

To echo what the community has said, memory cannot be updated on any Surface devices including Surface Pro 6.

Surface Pro 7+ models have a SIM card or a microSD card slot in the same position on the device. The Surface Pro 7+ with LTE Advanced has a SIM tray, indicated by a small hole that ejects it. For other models, the microSD card slot doesn't have a cover and won't support a SIM card.
