Both smell lovely and work well in their own ways but I would recommend the Kerastase over the L'Oreal for sure. I also have my eye on the somewhat newer Kerastase Elixir Ultime for fine/sensitive hair.

Other than my complaint about the smell, it really is a good nourishing shampoo. My hair felt smooth after using it, but also didn't feel greasy. I did have to use twice as much as I normally do because it really thick. I would definitely purchase it again if I was looking for an affordable, mid price shampoo.
