Parents need to know that A Quiet Place Part II is the sequel to 2018's hit horror/monster movie A Quiet Place. Violence is fairly gory and graphic, though most of it is directed at monsters (heads exploding, etc.). A child's leg is caught in a bear trap, with a bloody wound; he screams in pain.

Krasinski said he wrote himself into the sequel because the first film "was such a personal experience" and his "love letter" to his children. He said, "It was really important for me to continue the metaphor and we actually start dealing with how this all started."

According to the film's IMDB page, production took place in the city of Buffalo, as well as the towns Akron and Olcott. One of the specific locations that they returned to is the rusted bridge with a cross memorial.

In A Quiet Place, the theme is, “Not talking about a traumatic situation is not the way to forgiveness.” The family's inability to communicate is the problem, and the story is about their journey to solving that while also getting away from the space-alien monsters.

A Quiet Place vs Part II: Story A Quiet Place Part 2 does what most sequels do, or at least attempt to do, in that it expands on the existing world, story, and characters, while raising the stakes, increasing the level of threat, and revealing new elements.

Overall the film is appropriate for ages 12 and up and contains good messages about family and survival.

Beck and Woods began writing A Quiet Place in January 2016, and Krasinski read their initial script the following July. The concept of parents protecting their children appealed to Krasinski, especially as his second child with actress Emily Blunt had just been born, and Blunt encouraged him to direct the film.

A Quiet Place Part II doubles down on what made its predecessor so popular, delivering another ridiculously riveting feat of horror filmmaking from John Krasinski.

In the post-apocalyptic world where the number one rule is to stay silent at all times, the Abbotts maintain a relatively normal life. Tucked away at a countryside farmhouse, a 19th-century abode alongside several New York towns served as the backdrop for the film.

By bringing Lee back in a flashback and keeping him "alive" in other ways, A Quiet Place 2 adds much more depth to his death, making it better, and turning him and his family into stronger characters.
