What is EuropaCorp Shut In?

EuropaCorp is a French film production and distribution company that has produced many blockbuster films in the past. However, their 2016 release, Shut In, didn't receive as much success as expected.

Shut In is a psychological thriller starring Naomi Watts as Mary Portman, a child psychologist who lives with her stepson in an isolated New England house. After a storm leaves a patient, Tom (Jacob Tremblay), missing and presumed dead, Mary becomes haunted by his ghostly presence, which threatens her and her family's safety.

The film received negative reviews from critics, with many criticizing the script and predictability of the storyline. Shut In grossed less than $7 million at the box office, failing to recover its production budget of $10 million.

Despite the lackluster response, EuropaCorp continues to produce and distribute films worldwide. In recent years, the company has collaborated with Hollywood studios, producing films like Lucy, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Anna.

Overall, while Shut In may not have been a financial or critical success for EuropaCorp, the production company continues to produce films that captivate audiences around the world.
