Since 1988, countless numbers of figures have been made, making TMNT one of the most successful toylines in history. Many of the earlier figures are highly desired by collectors now, so they fetch extremely high prices on the secondary market.

Donatello For the TV show, TMNT creator Peter Laird decided to give each Turtle a different color to make it easier to tell them apart: Leonardo has a blue bandana, Raphael a red bandana, Donatello a purple bandana and Michelangelo an orange bandana.

Leo (aka Leonardo) is the oldest of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leo is played by Nicolas Cantu in the Mutant Mayhem movie.

Raphael Raph (aka Raphael) is the second oldest of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Raph is played by Brady Noon in the Mutant Mayhem movie. Namesake: Raph is named after Raphael, a 16th-century Italian painter.

Venus de Milo was introduced in Fall of 1997 in the first episode of the live action NInja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Besides the fact that she was the only female Tmnt, she stuck out as being the only one named after not a famous painter, but rather a work of art.
