The pistol putter grip is different from the straight grip in that the hands are positioned at different heights on the grip. The lower hand is more on the grip.

Putter grip profiles fall into one of 6 categories: Circle, Oval, Flat Oval, Pistol, Flat Wide, and Mod Pistol. Pistol grips offer more control. Pistol grip. Advantage is better stability in gripping and controlling what you are firing at. Disadvantage, if you have to go prone, grip will raise weapon off ground as much as 3″ to 4″ when you might want to be lower.

Many leading professional golfers, such as Tiger Woods use the interlocking grip. Place your hands on the golf club and intertwine your pinky finger on the trailing hand with the index finger on the lead hand. This is a good grip for people with smaller hands.

Handgun grips may be made of many diverse materials. Some are chosen for appearance, like genuine elephant or fossil ivory or finely figured wood. Others are used for economy, like plastics.

Every manufacture has a slightly different definition of diameter sizing, but in general Standard grips are around 1" in diameter. Midsize and Oversize/Jumbo grips can vary quite a bit, but in general will range around +1/8" to +3/8" larger in diameter.
