Elsa's regal-looking light purple dress appears in the beginning scenes of Frozen 2. The dress is very structured and a departure from Elsa's more typical color palette, being a light purple as opposed to her usual blue dresses.

"They do this big costume change by pulling one thread and the whole costume unfurls and changes into another costume that is underneath," he explains. “What we really wanted to look at was change and maturity as you go through life,” notes Lee. “We didn't want to stay in the same place and repeat ourselves. It's an evolution with the characters and thematically looking at love and fear and family from the point of view of change.”

Similar to Tangled, Frozen employed a unique artistic style by blending together features of both computer-generated imagery (CGI) and traditional hand-drawn animation.
