Queensland's Whitewater Marine has the 150hp Evinrude E-TEC G2 priced from $19,500 fitted, including standard controls, gauges and an RX3 propeller. This is only $560 more than stepping down to the 140hp triple (which doesn't have the RAVE valve timing) and $1550 more than the entry-level 115 HO outboard engine.

Not great, but very, very good. For the most part, the engine has always started reliably, and runs like a clock. Over the last 10 years, we've only had two problems that can be attributed to manufacturing or design issues: One fuel injector failed under warranty.

The basic difference is the ho has about 10% more power. The HO's use more oil, they can't be set at the xd100 low oil consumption mode but the xd 100 oil is still recommended. Both are great motors. Screaming And Flying!
