(KMTV) - Pastor Harold E. Salem, 99, founder of the Christian Worship Hour, died early Friday morning. An obituary release on Monday said that Salem was surrounded by his family in Aberdeen, South Dakota when he passed away. Salem was born in 1921 near Belle Fourche, South Dakota.

After all, the goal of a prayer and worship night is to lead people into an extended time of gazing upon the beauty of the Lord, so everything you do must contribute to that.

Our worship life is meant to be a formative encounter with Jesus Christ that propels us into the world for mission. Through the means of grace, God empowers the church for the work of mission. Worship is mission and mission is worship. Our gathering does not simply end at the conclusion of the worship service.
