With the aid of the genie of the lamp, Aladdin becomes rich and powerful and marries Princess Badroulbadour, the sultan's daughter (after magically foiling her marriage to the vizier's son). The genie builds Aladdin and his bride a wonderful palace, far more magnificent than the sultan's.

Aladdin requests to be freed from the cave and after his wish is granted, he goes home. By chance, Aladdin rubs the lamp, and a genie appears and asks what he desires. Aladdin asks for food, and a banquet appears before him. Soon after, Aladdin comes across the daughter of the Sultan, a princess, and falls in love.

Aladdin wishes to escape from the cave (though he makes a wish without holding the lamp, keeping his three wishes in tact), and both he, Genie, Abu and Carpet find themselves in the middle of the desert. Genie is the fun-loving, scene-stealing wisecracker who lives in the lamp and yearns to be free. Great comic timing and a flashy and fun sense of showmanship is needed for this role. Iago is the fawning and funny parrot and sidekick to Jafar.

Wacky, funny, and full of energy, he is truly larger than life. Genie is the perfect party buddy, granting every wish we might have along the way and keeping the night good-spirited. You could count on Genie keeping his cool if things got too intense.

Agrabah is the central location of the 1992 Disney animated feature film, Aladdin. It is a glimmering, bustling Arabian desert kingdom, currently under the rule of a kind-hearted Sultan and his daughter, Princess Jasmine.

Aladdin teaches it's audience to be yourself, and that you should not feel the need to change for anyone. Aladdin's character also shares some characteristics with some of Disney's previous leading ladies. Like Ariel and Belle, Aladdin is not happy with his current situation in life and is determined to find more.

Lesson 1 - Be Yourself Both Aladdin and Jasmine teach us to be who we are. Do not try to be someone else or to conform to what others perceive us to be. Be who you are meant to be. Be true to who are and live your life with honesty.
