Citrix Systems and TIBCO Software are officially one company. On Friday, Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital completed the $16.5 billion Citrix acquisition. Immediately following the deal's close, the firms launched the Cloud Software Group that will oversee the merger of Citrix and TIBCO.

Upon completion of the transaction, Citrix's shares will no longer trade on the Nasdaq, and Citrix will become a private company. Citrix wants to accelerate through the field of rivals offering digital workspaces in hybrid cloud environments. Hsu said hybrid cloud and hybrid work are both here to stay, so Citrix thinks it has an opportunity to innovate for both environments. Some of the innovation is mostly done.

Following the completion of the acquisition by Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital Corp on September 30, 2022, Citrix merged with TIBCO Software under the newly formed Cloud Software Group. Citrix spun off the re-branded Citrix ADC back into a standalone entity Netscaler under the same parent.
