This is an action thriller stand-alone story so I chose the audiobook as I don't read much from this genre.

In his forty-sixth novel, Baldacci introduces readers to Travis Devine in The 6:20 Man, the first installment in a new series. Although Baldacci normally writes two books each year, he completed three during the pandemic when he says he just stayed home and wrote.

Travis Devine Our protagonist here is Travis Devine. From the very start of the book, we know that Devine had been a ranger before he randomly just left the services. But “leave and never look back” was not something he did.

Centering around a battle between good and evil on an interplanetary scale, it follows the story of nine children from the planet Lorien, who are sent to Earth along with their guardians (called Cepans) when their home planet comes under assault from the ruthless Mogardorians.
