The movie is fast moving and full of action violence. It's also quite difficult to follow if you haven't seen the other Transformer movies. The high level of violence and scary scenes make this movie unsuitable for children under 12 years and we recommend parental guidance for children aged 12–13 years.

"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action, violence, and language, with the violence primarily centered on the robot characters. The film's rating is consistent with previous Transformers movies, and while violence is present, it is less brutal than some of its predecessors.

Director Steven Caple Jr. steps into a large, alien robot-strewn sandbox with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts for his biggest feature yet. For decades, the Autobots and Decepticons have captured fans' imaginations in Michael Bay's franchise.

In addition to the violent scenes mentioned above, Bumblebee has some scenes that could scare or disturb children under five years. For example: The Transformers are realistically animated with CGI. They're huge, dominating forms covered in weaponry.

Ideas to discuss with your children It contains non-stop intense action and violence, which becomes repetitive, especially as the movie has a running time of 165 minutes. The movie's M rating is appropriate. It isn't suitable for children under 13 years, who might want to see it because they like Transformers toys.

The story sags a little in the middle. I could go on. Saying all that, this film is mildly entertaining and does have its moments, although they are too few and far between. I guess it's worth watching if you are into your Transformers films, but the casual movie goer should probably save their money and skip this one.

It's still a movie about giant space robots talking trash and smashing into each other, but “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” is better than most offerings in the franchise. This latest summertime extravaganza, based on the Hasbro toys, doesn't reach the heights of the unexpectedly delightful “Bumblebee” from 2018.
