South Korea The redesigned Trax, also made in South Korea, is roughly 4 inches lower, 2 inches wider and 11 inches longer than the 2022 version. It comes with a 1.2-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder engine, producing 137 hp and 162 pound-feet of torque, that's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

It was first introduced globally in 2013, but this subcompact crossover SUV didn't reach the United States until the 2015 model year. After enjoying success in international markets, the Trax was ready to make a major splash on the North American roads. The Trax is built on the General Motors Gamma II platform.

General Motors emphasizes that the Trax, Groove and Beat were created by its design studios in South Korea, a hotbed of minicar design and home to Daewoo, which supplies the Aveo and would furnish the Trax, too. Trax is a tall four-door wagon with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine.
