If Wipe New comes in contact with an unintended surface such as paint; wipe it off immediately with a dry cloth. Within an hour of application (while still undergoing initial cure), acetone may be used to remove Wipe New from a painted surface, but not from plastic or any nonmetal surface.

You can use extremely fine high-grit sandpaper (3000 grit) or 000 steel wool to remove Wipe New®. Do not use acetone on non-paint/ non-glass surfaces.
