1999 Columbine High School massacre Elephant is a 2003 American psychological drama film written, directed, and edited by Gus Van Sant. It takes place in Watt High School, in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, and chronicles the events surrounding a school shooting, based in part on the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.

It is set in February, 1945 in the Philippines during the final week of the battle for control between the Americans and the Japanese during World War II. The story is divided into four parts, each told from a character's perspective and detailing events that occur in the moments leading up to the Japanese surrender.

The moral of the story is “Never underestimate anyone, including yourself.” In the given story, the elephant made fun of the other animals and bullied them because he underestimated them and thought that no one could harm him because of his gigantic size. However, he was proved wrong by a tiny little ant.

The greatest threat to African elephants is poaching for the illegal ivory trade, while Asian elephant populations are most at risk from habitat loss and resulting human-elephant conflict.

To Make Secrets of the Elephants, the crew worked with local experts and scientists in Africa and Asia, Han Vissering says: “It was an all‑hands‑on‑deck process.” Not only did they film in multiple locations simultaneously, but they remained mindful of their carbon footprint.

Under the service's Stories Matter section, Disney explained its decision of removing the content. 'Dumbo,' made in 1941, features a group of crows who "pay homage to racist minstrel shows, where white performers with blackened faces and tattered clothing imitated and ridiculed enslaved Africans."

''Elephant'' is a movie about a teenage killing spree mostly based on the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado that left 15 people dead, including the two student shooters, who committed suicide.
