Production. The telenovela was announced in October 2021 at Televisa's upfront for 2022. On 25 November 2021, Alejandra Espinoza and Gonzalo García Vivanco were announced in the lead roles. Filming began on 17 January 2022.

The story takes place in Martinique in 1903 and describes the life in the Caribbean of Juan del Diablo, a boy who grows up to be a pirate (while Renato, his half-brother goes to study in France), and Monica and Aimee, two sisters who fall in love with him.

After the death of their father, brothers Jesús, Damián, and Samuel are separated and adopted by different families. They reunite as adults and swear on their father's grave to seek vengeance against their enemy, the Ruíz Montalvo family.
