Everything from Sugarlands is small batch and pot distilled a minimum of six times. The moonshine is made from Silver Cloud, fresh Tennessee white corn and cane sugar. The pot still allows Sugarland to produce a great spirit with the perfect balance between being too thin or too heavy.

Since 2014, Sugarlands Shine has been producing authentic award-winning moonshine from the great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Our original recipe moonshines come in many assorted flavors, some of which feature partnerships with cast members from Discovery's wildly popular, “Moonshiners,” television show.

whiskey Moonshine is defined as a homemade, un-aged whiskey, marked by its clear color, corn base, and high alcohol content (sometimes peaking as high as 190 proof). Traditionally, it was produced in a homemade still and bottled in a mason jar.

Moonshine is an alcoholic drink that is typically made from corn, sugar, and water. The corn is mashed, and then the sugar and water are added. This mixture is then boiled. The alcohol content of moonshine can be as high as 95%, which is significantly higher than the alcohol content of most other types of liquor.

The traditional ingredients for moonshine are corn and sugar, and during fermentation, the sugar produces ethanol, which makes hooch or moonshine. During distillation, alcohol separates from the mash.
