Lipton teas are a blend selected from many different plantations around the world, from well-known producing countries including Sri Lanka, India, Kenya, and China.

Black, white, and red tea also have health-giving flavonoids and polyphenols. It takes around 2,000 tiny leaves to make just one pound of finished tea. There are more than 1,500 types of teas in the world. Tea plants grow wild in parts of Asia, but over 25 countries cultivate tea as a plantation crop.

The Lipton brand is primarily based on the Innocent archetype, promoting such values as positivity, optimism and thoughtfulness. However, its brand equity also includes the elements of the Jester archetype: fun, joy and a “living in the moment” philosophy.

After harvesting, tea leaves are sorted and oxidised according to what type of tea they will become. Green Tea is made from fresh green leaves that undergo minimal oxidation. White Tea is made from lightly oxidised buds. Black Tea leaves are fully oxidised, producing the characteristic dark colour.
