The VCORE 100 is the racquet that is the most forgiving, powerful, spin-friendly, but also the one that needs the most shape added on your shots for control. The VCORE 98 is in the middle, while the VCORE 95 is the most control-oriented that requires the most from the player.

Yonex released the first versions of this racket in 1985 in two models: the V Core 100 and the V Core 90. The V stands for 'Variable', and they were known as Variable Models, tuned with variable weighting to allow players who required slight customizations to switch between them with ease.

Where the Vcore is a very controlled, spin-friendly, and stable racket, the Ezone is much more powerful, comfortable, and lively. Therefore, the aggressive baseliner that likes to take a big cut at the ball and produce heavy topspin to grind down their opponent would be much better suited to a Vcore.

VCORE if you hit with spin, Ezone if your stroke is more flat. Are you currently hitting with 2021 or 2023? There is a big difference in stiffness, 2023 much more comfortable. The VCORE Pro is more of a control racquet, so you'll have to generate more of your own power than with other two.

Today, Yonex tennis racquets, golf clubs, snowboards, road bikes, tennis and badminton string, and more are produced at Yonex manufacturing facilities in Japan.

As with the previous version, this was one of the most arm-friendly racquets I've hit. Most importantly, it gave me better control and a nice, consistent ball.

Each of them has their own specific advantages and disadvantages. EZONE rackets are made to improve power and spin. VCORE PRO is the control focus lineup, great for plow through and full swings. And finally the VCORE lineup provides a solid mix between the EZONE and VCORE PRO rackets.

The Yonex Astrox 88D Play is a beginner's version of one of the most popular rackets in the game today, the 88D Pro. This Play version is manufactured to replicate the capabilities and performance of the 88D Pro but in a much more user-friendly manner, with reduced stiffness and weight.

Howard thought this was one of the most solid racquets he has hit with when it came to returning. He said, "I enjoyed the stability of the VCORE 98 when I was facing a hard flat serve, and I was able to whip the racquet around and place my return deep with decent topspin.

But I have to admit, the feel of this EZONE 98 is much softer and more comfortable, and it's the one I gravitate toward. It is arm friendly, plush and comfortable, while still offering a great blend of controllable power and spin."
