Generally, deer are most active during dawn and dusk, so feeding them during these times can be effective. However, it's important to also consider the season and weather conditions. During the winter months, when food sources are scarce, deer may be more active during the day and require more frequent feeding.

They all take some time to set up, but well worth it in the long run. Even if you're running just a couple sticks, the set up is worth the effort. It will give you an even feedrate, constant pressure against the fence, allow you to run butt to butt (production) and better yet keep your hands out of the way.
