But in its final hour of the series, it stuck to the events of the Crisis by allowing the hero to no longer to be with his allies and loved ones. However, the Arrow series finale still allowed Oliver a happy ending beyond life.

Season 1 (2012–13) While all the seasons that followed had their own ups and downs, season 1 still holds up for setting Arrow off on the right track. The first year of the vigilante drama did solid work in world-building as it adapted the Green Arrow universe for the small screen.
