Usually, someone plays a couple of years in the minors before being “called up” to the Major League. So, the Major League is known as “The Show” as in, “The Big Show.” Now, when a player is called up to the Majors, there is a sort of unscripted, but expected routine which takes place.

Exclusives are typically at the forefront of promotional efforts during gaming conferences such as E3, in order to help drive sales of hardware, as a consumer choosing between options may be swayed by the different range of games available on each different console.

Each player's story is told in a series of Moments called episodes. Most MLB the Show users will recognize the format from previous games. The episodes are almost always preceded by a short intro (30-60 seconds) narrated by the Negro League President Bob Kendrick.
