T-Mobile Go5G Plus Go5G Plus is T-Mobile's top-tier, truly unlimited plan. It comes with unlimited premium data, 50GB of hotspot data, the best video streaming capacity and the largest number of free or discounted additional benefits and perks.

I do not think it means what you think it means. An unlimited internet plan has no data caps or other restrictions based on your data usage.

What does unlimited data mean? Unlimited data is exactly what the name suggests, a mobile plan that offers you no cap on data usage. It means you don't have to worry about going over your limit and spending more each month and gives you the freedom to use as little or as much data as you like.

Unfortunately, this is not entirely true. While most unlimited plans do allow you to use large amounts of data, they often come with a fair usage policy (FUP). This means that after exceeding a certain threshold, your internet speed may be reduced.

Some unlimited data plans slow down your Internet speeds after a data limit has been hit. For example, you may have an unlimited plan with a monthly cap of 1.5 Terabytes with a speed of 100Mbps. When you hit the monthly limit of 1.5TB, your 50 Mbps will slow to 5 Mbps until next month.

What does unlimited mobile data mean? Typically unlimited mobile data means that they will never shut you off, but you will likely see your data speeds slowed to somewhere around 128kbps if you use more than a certain amount of data in a given month.

Let's take a look at some of the key drawbacks:

An internet data cap is a set threshold of the amount of data you can use in one month on your internet service provider's (ISP's) plan. If you exceed the threshold, your ISP will sometimes begin charging you overage fees. In other cases, they may just throttle, or slow down, your internet speeds.

How long does unlimited data last? It should last as long as your monthly service cycle, which is what we do at Visible. However, this does depend on your carrier and their terms of service, so you may have to check with your current carrier if you are not already with Visible.

So, while your plan might be technically unlimited in the sense you can use as much data as you want, you're still effectively locked into a data cap because of the slower speeds your carrier might impose after you go over.
