Principal photography began in Vancouver, Canada on November 17, 2015.

WWE Studios joined in partnership with the production studio, Intrepid Pictures, to do marketing. It was a first time partnership with Intrepid and the distributor, Relativity. Production credits on movies are hard to understand because the role that each "studio" provides is not explained.

Birth of the Dragon is not a historical account of that fight. In its defense, it doesn't pretend to be. But keep in mind that the circumstances surrounding that historic battle (not to mention the fight itself) bore no resemblance to what's portrayed on screen here.

The series is based on the book “Fire & Blood” by George R.R. Martin, who also wrote the fantasy series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” on which the original HBO show is based. The Targaryen characters in “House of the Dragon” are all distant ancestors of Daenerys and have the stark white-blond hair to prove it.

Oculus was a virtual reality company founded by Palmer Luckey in 2012. It was acquired by Facebook, now known as Meta, in 2014 for $2 billion in cash and stock. Luckey is the designer of the Oculus Rift VR headset that was later rebranded as Meta Quest.

Before being acquired by Meta, Oculus also created the Oculus Rift DK1 and the Oculus Rift DK2. "Designed by gamers, for gamers," read Oculus VR's original Kickstarter page. But Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg envisioned use cases beyond gaming when he purchased the company.

Are dragons real or fantasy? We have plenty of animals with the word 'dragon' in their name, but fire-breathing dragons are complete fantasy. With the possible exception of human performers who manipulate flames by spitting fuel, the animal kingdom doesn't feature any creatures that blow fire like a dragon.

Most of them were imagined as lizards with similar characteristics and attitudes. However, no large, flying, fire-making dragons probably existed.

The MPA rated Birth of the Dragon PG-13 for martial arts violence, language and thematic elements.

After that, the Dragon come and was placed in the fifth position. The Jade Emperor was wondering why such a swift airborne creature such as the Loong did not come in first. The Dragon explained that it had to stop by a village and bring rain for all the people, and therefore it was held back.

"Unfortunately, no, we do not have evidence of dragons on this planet. We do have evidence of very cool extinct animals that were kind of similar to dragons, but no fire-breathing six-legged vertebrates, I'm afraid."

Just like young Alicent, Rhaenyra is 14 at the start of the show and ages up to almost 18 years old over the course of the first four episodes.
