The 2023 Home Run Derby will begin at 8 p.m. ET. Caesars Sportsbook lists Alonso as the +300 favorite (risk $100 to win $300) in its latest 2023 MLB Home Run Derby odds, with Guerrero Jr. right behind at +450.

Despite his first-round exit, Alonso said he enjoyed this year's Derby as much as he has in the past. He must love it, as he became just the 10th player in history to participate in the Derby at least four times. He and Sammy Sosa are the only players to take part in four consecutive Derbies.

ESPN will stream the 2023 Home Run Derby at 8 p.m. ET on July 10 from Seattle, Washington. On ESPN2, there will be a StatCast alternate presentation with an analytics-focused commentary featuring on-screen graphics, data, and information by StatCast.

What time does the MLB Home Run Derby 2023 start? All contestants will be warming up starting at 6:00 p.m., but the event begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. and will air live on ESPN.

Angel of Empire was the favorite for the Kentucky Derby, trading at 4.5, followed by Tapit trice at 5.5, UAE Derby winner Derma Sotogake at 8.0 and Two Phil's at 9.0. Every other horse in Kentucky Derby 2023 odds was 11.0 or greater, and three other horses sat at 31.0 with the longest odd to win.

The winner of the Home Run Derby gets a $1 million prize. New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, the favorite to win the competition for a third time, more than doubled his salary by winning it in 2019.

Just as his dad did in 2007, Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. powered his way through T-Mobile Park to win the 2023 Home Run Derby. The runner-up in 2019, Guerrero Jr. knocked 25 home runs in the final round against Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena's 23 to win the event.
