The Surface Pro 8 was confirmed at the Microsoft Surface Event on September 22, 2021, along with other products like the Surface Go 3. It became available for purchase on October 5, 2021.

Surface driver and firmware support lifecycle

After only half an hour of regular usage, the Surface is becoming hotter. An more importantly, overheating is happening when the charger (official charger that came with it) is connected.
