Players take on the role of student wizards who must save the Spiral, the fictional universe in which the game is set, from various threats. Players battle enemies by casting spells using a variety of different weapons in a turn-based combat system, similar to collectible card games.

Best schools for soloing are Fire, Ice, Life and Death. Best schools for supporting others are Balance, Life, Ice and Death. Best schools for hitting hard are Storm, Fire, Myth and Life. Best schools for effective mastery of a second school are Balance and Death.

In order to start questing in Celestia, you need to be at least level 48 and have defeated Malistaire. You are above the average level for Celestia :D.

Our wizards are never specified to have an age, but we have to assume our character is around 15-17 right? We also have to assume that aging in the spiral is way different, which technically makes us pretty “young” even though our character are pretty much in high school.

They also released demographic information recently about who players their games, and W101's biggest group, was the 18-30 age group (if I have the group age range correct). However, they want to try to keep W101 as kid friendly as they can.

Hogwarts only teaches magical subjects. Things like reading, writing, and basic maths are taught prior to Hogwarts, either via the magical children (primarily the ones raised in the Muggle world) attending a Muggle primary school or through homeschooling from a family member or a tutor.

You probably already know that death is by far the easiest school to solo as. This is because of death's drain spells. They keep you alive and deal damage at the same time, so if you time your hits correctly you will almost never die. Death also has good resist, health, etc, so staying alive isn't a problem.

Storm Storm has the best damage overall, if you look at storm owl, which has the highest amount of damage of any spell in the game, they can usually kill the enemies before they kill storm wizards. but the times that they can't do it, they are getting killed fast.
