The candy brand announced that Maya Rudolph would replace its promotional cartoon characters, which have been the focus of a partisan backlash. A controversy erupted when M&M's made changes to its roster of characters and to the shoes they wear.

This claims to be the world's biggest SUV. The Hummer H1 X3 measures 14 meters long, six meters wide, and 6.6 meters tall. What's more interesting is that the SUV is fully driveable. It comes as a custom-built vehicle and the designed to look like the original one with thick metal sheets and other components.

It was an early hit with Hollywood celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, who went on to own a fleet of Hummers. In December 1999, when the economy was strong and gas prices were relatively low, General Motors purchased the rights from AM General to market and distribute the Hummer.

In it, actress and comedian Maya Rudolph tosses handfuls of the colorful candies in the air, but instead of M's, they're emblazoned with “Ma” and “Ya” and images of Rudolph's face. Rudolph sings that the candies are now filled with clams. In the video, people take bites and look disgusted.

Candy giant M&M's is retiring its iconic spokescandies following changes to the cartoon characters that sparked controversy in 2022. In a statement on Monday, the candymaker said it had “decided to take an indefinite pause” from using the mascots, which resemble giant living M&M's, in its marketing campaigns.

The original idea for M&M's is quite surprising. It was sparked when Forrest Mars saw soldiers eating Smarties during the Spanish Civil War. They were able to travel with the candies due to the hard shell around the chocolate in the middle preventing it from melting. This inspired Forrest to make a similar thing.
