The Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away is great for low-pile carpet. It easily cleans all hair and large debris like sand and still sucks up a very good amount of small debris like baking soda. It has a decent build quality and it's not hard to maintain but there are a lot of parts that you need to clean regularly.

The Navigator has much better performance on bare floors, it's more maneuverable, and it's lighter to hold. That said, the Rotator has a somewhat better performance on low-pile carpet, it has a slightly bigger dirt compartment, and it has a longer range.

Dyson is the choice if you want high-tech features, more raw suction power, and if you want advanced filtration systems. One of the key differences is that Dyson is much more expensive than Shark. Just because it has more raw power than Shark does not mean that it necessarily does a better job of cleaning your floors.

If you want more data on how clean your house is, then Dyson is probably the best option for you. However, if your focus is on practical elements such as a flexible wand and anti-odour technology then Shark may be better for you.
