Burger Beard A pirate named Burger Beard travels to Bikini Atoll, where he obtains a magical book that has the power to make any text written upon it real. The book tells the story of SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom.

The story is about the Krabby Patty secret recipe being stolen by Burger Beard the Pirate (Antonio Banderas), causing Bikini Bottom to enter a Mad Max-esque post-apocalyptic wasteland. SpongeBob and friends come ashore and become superheroes in order to defeat Burger Beard and retrieve the Krabby Patty secret recipe.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the RunThe SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water / Sequel Released in 2015, the film is a standalone sequel to 2004's The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. This theory goes that the major characters in SpongeBob are actually meant to be depictions of various mental disorders. The wacky, zany SpongeBob is supposedly a manifestation of ADHD, while Patrick Starr is apparently meant to represent Down Syndrome and Squidward is a stand-in for depression.

Pinney has voiced numerous characters. His roles include Cyclops in Disney's Hercules, Wormguy and Idikiukup in the Men and Black Series, and Painty The Pirate from the opening theme of SpongeBob SquarePants.

SpongeBob SquarePants' Age: 18 To Mid-20s SpongeBob's grandmother refers to him as an "adult" and "grown-up" on more than one occasion. He also appears older than Pearl, who -- as mentioned above -- turns 16 in the show.

Bikini Bottom Plot. In Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob SquarePants prepares for the opening ceremony of the Krusty Krab 2 (located next to the original Krusty Krab), believing that his boss Mr. Krabs will promote him as manager. At the ceremony, the title is instead given to his co-worker Squidward Tentacles.

When a diabolical pirate above the sea steals the secret Krabby Patty formula, SpongeBob and his nemesis Plankton must team up in order to get it back.
