Triumph originally formed as a bicycle manufacturing company by Siegfried Bettmann in Coventry, way back in 1887. But with the explosion of motorised transport, Triumph shifted focus and produced the first motorised cycle, the Triumph 1, in 1902.

Triumph bikes provide a rather smooth ride compared to Harleys or Ducati bikes, who have vibrations and mechanical noises associated with speed riding. Even in adventure riding, Triumph bikes such as the Triumph Tiger have the seat and suspenders plush enough to cope with the toughest off-road terrain.

Although Triumph claims a top speed figure of 145 kmph, on the test track I was able to push it up to 168 kmph. Considering that this is not a faired motorcycle, this is no small feat.
