Test results will give each tested food a “score”. This score refers to the blood's IgG levels in reaction to that food, often ranked numerically as well as across: No reactivity – A normal and non-sensitive IgG response. Mild reactivity – A slightly elevated IgG response, usually with few symptoms.

There's limited evidence supporting the accuracy of IgG testing to check for food sensitivities. As a result, Everlywell has received a lot of criticism, especially from immunologists, for offering this type of testing.

EverlyWell While you can delete your results from your EverlyWell account by emailing the company with a request, according to its privacy policy, it will not delete your DNA sample. Partner company Helix says it may store your DNA sample indefinitely for “quality control and optimization” in its lab.

If the results of our sexual health tests indicate an abnormal or a positive result for a sexually transmitted infection, a board-certified physician will contact you to talk through next steps and in some cases, prescribe treatment when needed and applicable, at no extra cost.

Both the physician network and laboratory must report to state health authorities for disease tracking and prevalence. We do not share the results with any other healthcare providers or insurance companies.

Some companies share that data with law enforcement, and most sell your DNA data to third parties, after which it can become difficult to track. For some people who work for small companies or serve in the military, it can affect insurance premiums and even the ability to get insurance at all.

For some testing kits, you have to prick your finger to draw blood, so if you're afraid of needles, this may not work for you. At-home STI tests aren't always accurate. Self-collection samples aren't always the most precise. While Everlywell's labs meet CLIA standards, not all tests are FDA-approved.
