The company lost 24,000 postpaid customers in the quarter, which was better than the losses of 44,000 in the year-ago quarter. Churn has improved, to 1.27% versus 1.30% a year ago and 1.35% in the previous quarter. The company ended Q1 2023 with a total of 4,223,000 postpaid customers.

The Chicago-based company also employs around 4,600 full- and part-time workers. Financial analysts have generally argued that T-Mobile is the most likely buyer of UScellular. "The best fit may be with T-Mobile," wrote the financial analysts at New Street Research in a recent note to investors.
