This competition consists of trucks performing their best moves on two wheels for two attempts. They can also choose to perform donuts or cyclones as an alternative. The two-wheel skills winner is determined by attendees voting via a score tracking website.

To this day, Monster Jam still runs a points series that all drivers compete in. Every year from 2000 to 2019, and since returning in 2022, a Monster Jam World Finals championship event has taken place, and has since become one of the most popular and coveted monster truck events.

The trucks race along a prescribed course with the first advancing in the competition. Winners advance until only two trucks remain with the finals determining the racing champion. Racing may be preceded by qualifying to establish brackets.

Grave Digger Considered one of the most famous and recognized monster trucks of all time, Grave Digger serves as the flagship team of the Monster Jam series, with seven active Grave Digger trucks being driven by different drivers to allow a truck to appear at every Monster Jam event.

Monster Jam is loud. That can be kind of scary for young kids. Every kid is different. While we generally wouldn't recommend Monster Jam for families with young kids, you might consider them ready to go if they are willing and able to keep ear protection on and aren't afraid of loud noises.

“Monster trucks are really unique, they're huge vehicles and really fun to watch. And Monster Jam continually raises the bar of competition. Every year it's something new.” Some drivers, such as Illinois native Camden Murphy, have extensive experience in other racing series like NASCAR.

The origins of Monster Jam emerged in the US during the modified truck craze of the 1970s, where heavily modified trucks with oversized tires reaching up to 48-inches became popular. These trucks were used for sports such as mud bogging and tractor pulling.

How Are Monster Trucks Transported?

1. First, the tires are removed from the monster truck. The tires that are placed on monster trucks are gigantic.
2. Then, the monster truck is placed into a special trailer.
3. Finally, the truck is transported slowly and safely.

Who should go to Monster Jam? My kids were three and five years old when they attended Monster Jam, and I would say that is a good age to take your kids, but it may also suggest waiting a couple more years. I feel like ages seven to seventy-seven can really enjoy this event!
