Does Frontier have TV and internet packages? Frontier doesn't offer its own TV service, but you can bundle YouTube TV with Frontier's internet plans. Frontier customers will save $120 on their first year of YouTube TV.

In late 2020, Frontier dropped the FiOS branding, renaming the service Frontier FiberOptic. In 2021, Frontier discontinued its in-house TV services and partnered with YouTube TV, freeing up its bandwidth for internet and phone.

Fiber-optic networks send data in the form of light through optical fiber cables. So, it can deliver wired speeds up to 5 gigabits (5,000 Mbps).

Frontier ended the quarter with 1.76 million fiber customers: 1.65 million residential subs and 110,000 business customers. Click here for a larger version of this image. Frontier said it built fiber to an additional 339,000 locations in Q1 2023, up 60% from the 211,000 it built in the year-ago period.

Frontier internet and TV bundle prices

Frontier® Fiber Internet has a speed capable range of 846 to 5000 Mbps download and 792 to 880 Mbps upload for Gig Service Internet. Speed capable range of 450 to 500 Mbps download and 450 to 500 Mbps upload for 500 Mbps Internet. Max speeds are wired speeds.

If you are limited to slower-speed DSL, Frontier may not be the best option. DSL internet speeds are much slower than fiber optic and are likely slower than cable internet as well. However, if you live in a rural area, you may find Frontier's slower speed plans to be your fastest option.

In 2022, Frontier Communications had 3.13 million residential customers.

A new study from the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) found the number of homes in the U.S. passed by fiber now exceeds 60 million, a figure which was up 12% year on year from around 54 million in 2020.

Online reviews present a mixed picture of Frontier, with some highlighting clear strengths, and others indicating significant room for improvement. For example, the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) gave Frontier TV a rating of 63 out of 100 in 2021.
