Our Freschetta® pizzas from Schwan's Consumer Brands launched nationally in 1996 and continue to be produced in the same Kentucky facility.

We use flour made with spring wheat grown in places like Minnesota and the Dakotas, to name a few. Its superior quality makes for a better rising, heartier crust that always ensures superior taste and texture. We use only real mozzarella, Parmesan, provolone and cheddar. A Fresch Take on Frozen We set out to make better pizzas by making fresh dough for our crusts, and topping each one with the highest quality ingredients – signature meats, premium veggies, and 100% real cheese.

In 1996, Schwan's introduced the Freschetta pizza line and acquired La Roue du Pays d'Auge, a frozen foods producer in France.
