While he is a sillier adaptation of the classic comic character, Adam West's Batman is not just good, he's better than most remember.

The Batman's Robert Pattinson has topped a list ranking the world's most handsome men, and he isn't the only Batman actor in the running.

Forget about the dark and brooding Caped Crusader we see in more contemporary portrayals -- West's Batman is the ultimate stiff, completely straight-laced and upright in a way that makes the entire show more of a comedy than a drama. It worked then, and it works now; this old show is still entertaining.

So in the end, I'd recommend this film for anyone 12 and over. It does have some violence and very mature themes but if your child knows that it's fake and not real then they'll be fine. If you're child is really mature and they're 10 or 11 I'd say it's fine too. Although no one under 10 should see this..

While there have been many subsequent films about Batman to come out since, including another from Burton himself, this one will always remain one of the very best.
