Mack Weldon is a new upscale brand of men's basics. The company has a focus on responsible, thoughtful design, calling out its “ethical manufacturing” and how they “[obsess] over every stitch and seam.”

Weldon represented New Zealand as a swimmer at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, in the men's 50 m freestyle and the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. He also swam for New Zealand at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, and won numerous national titles, with national records.

During our brand creation, we discovered Weldon, an early 20th century underwear company. Weldon had a lot of similarities to the brand we were creating in both marketing and product design. We embraced the name, flipped it a bit and made it ours.

A mission statement is a concise explanation of an organization's reason for existence and describes its purpose, intention and overall objectives. The mission statement supports the vision and serves to communicate purpose and direction to employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders.

While the effects of wear and tear were minor, given Mack Weldon's focus on quality and design, it's strange to see signs of wear after such a short time. They still seem relatively well-made, but we'd advise you take their site's posturing with a grain of salt. Again: They're fine.
