Yes. Was the public dramatically misled from the portrayal of these two country legends? Zooming out and looking at the entirety of the series as opposed to zooming in on each little scene and scrutinizing it, probably not. George & Tammy did a fair job telling the story of these two in a generally accurate manner.

George and Tammy tied the knot in 1969 and from then on, the couple went through a tumultuous relationship dealing with alcoholism, drug abuse, and erratic behavior. AND, all of this was happening while the two were at the height of their careers.
