The Orbit Gum Girl, first played by Vanessa Branch and now Farris Patton, is a characterized spokesperson for the gum, Orbit. Interestingly, Orbit was first introduced in 1944, again in the 1970s, and once more in 2001. The advertisements featuring the Orbit Gum Girl began appearing in the United States in 2002.

Cosmic Girl returned successfully to the landing strip in Newquay. The rocket however failed to reach orbit. Virgin Orbit said it ignited its engines, and quickly went hypersonic, successfully reaching space. It continued through a successful stage separation and ignition, but an anomaly meant it failed to reach orbit.

Long Beach Airport The plane was transferred to Virgin Galactic in 2015 and re-registered in the United States as N744VG. Cosmic Girl is currently based at Long Beach Airport.
