Courage is not the absence of fear; it is moving forward in the presence of fear. Courageous people do what they believe in their hearts they should do, no matter how they feel or what kinds of doubts and fearful thoughts fill their minds.

When we talk about doing it afraid, it means feel the fear and do it anyway. So many times we let fear be the very thing that keeps us from the greatness that is waiting for us. I am here to tell you to STOP IT! It is time for you to start doing it afraid.

It makes us alert to danger and prepares us to deal with it. Feeling afraid is very natural - and helpful - in some situations. Fear can be like a warning, a signal that cautions us to be careful. Like all emotions, fear can be mild, medium, or intense, depending on the situation and the person.

A fearful expression required participants to widen their eyes, raise their eyebrows and flare their nostrils, while a disgusted face was the opposite: a lowered brow, closed eyes and scrunched-up nose.

Fear is an intensely unpleasant emotion in response to perceiving or recognizing a danger or threat. Fear causes physiological changes that may produce behavioral reactions such as mounting an aggressive response or fleeing the threat.

What is courage? The book defines it as someone's ability to face danger, challenges, and life's hardships. Within this concept, you can view courage in two ways: moral and physical courage. The first refers to one's ability to act according to their moral compass and life principles.
