Later, in June 2013, the FDA approved Latuda for the treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder in adults. In January 2017, a supplemental new drug application received approval from the FDA to allow Latuda to be prescribed to adolescents aged 13 to 17 years old for the treatment of schizophrenia.
