Who is Kirk Hammett?

Kirk Hammett is not particularly known for his career as a commercial actor, but rather as the lead guitarist of the legendary band Metallica. However, that doesn't mean he hasn't appeared in a few commercials over the years.

One of his most notable commercial appearances was in a 2008 Guitar Hero commercial. In the ad, Hammett is shown shredding on a guitar controller while surrounded by a group of awed fans. The commercial was a hit and helped to further cement Hammett's status as a guitar icon.
