Who is Eduardo Yáñez?

Eduardo Yáñez is a Mexican film and television actor who has appeared in numerous Mexican and American productions. Born on September 25, 1960, in Mexico City, Yáñez started his career as a commercial model before he made his acting debut in the telenovela "Quiéreme siempre" in 1981.

Yáñez's breakthrough role came in 1996 when he played the lead role of José Ángel Arregui in the telenovela "Pasión y poder." The show was a huge success and helped to solidify Yáñez's status as a prominent actor in the Mexican television industry.

In 2002, Yáñez made his Hollywood film debut in the movie "Wild Wild West," directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Will Smith. He also appeared in the 2016 American thriller, "Savannah Sunrise."

Apart from his work in film and television, Yáñez has been featured in numerous commercials for brands such as Pepsi and McDonald's. He is also a well-known voice actor and has voiced characters in popular animated movies such as "Cars" and "Rio."

Throughout his career, Yáñez has won many awards for his performances, including two TVyNovelas Awards, two Premios People en Español Awards, and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2020 Premios Tu Mundo. He remains one of the most recognized commercial actors in Mexico and an influential figure in the Latin American entertainment industry.
